We just bought a house on the lake in Excelsior this past summer and love the small town feel, huge open spaces of Excelsior Commons and of course the beautiful Lake Minnetonka. Home prices in Excelsior are less than Wayzata on the other side of the lake. If you need to commute to downtown Minneapolis, it’s a bit of a drive, but if you’re like me and you work from home, there isn’t a better location to live in the Twin Cities.

We used Edina Realty to buy our house and were really happy with our real estate agent.

The Zinn Family Realtors are probably the most well known real estate team in the Western suburbs including the Lake Minnetonka and Excelsior area. Their kids all went through the Minnetonka schools and have taken over most of the real estate business from their Dad. We have lots of friends who have both bought and sold houses with them over the years and they are a great team.
